Diamond Arechavala has an exuberant passion for education and service. She was born and raised in urban Milwaukee and she and her husband returned right after she completed graduate school. Arechavala attended Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC for her BA in Writing; she then went on to graduate school and received her MFA in Writing from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, in Boulder, CO; and is currently in school for an MS and Ed.S for School Psychology at Alverno College. Her drive to see Milwaukee area students feel autonomy and power within their educational pursuits is unmatched and she hopes to always serve the students of Wisconsin.

Some of Mrs. Arechavala’s personal hobbies include knitting and crocheting, spending time with her two dogs and two cats, and listening to audiobooks. If you ever need a book recommendation, go see her! Along with these hobbies, she also loves road trips with her husband, homemaking, and watching Packer’s games in the community. Mrs. Arechavala’s love of all animals, people, and the earth is also worth mentioning–yes, she will house-sit your animals and support your composting journey.
