Katie Reid

Katie Reid grew up in and currently lives in the Milwaukee area. She graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education & Adaptive Education. She has always loved working in an education/ school environment. Shortly after graduation, Katie moved out west! (Sort of). For 3.5 years she was a Residence Director at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. Then when it was time to move closer to home, she worked as a paraprofessional for Shorewood school district for a year before making her way to MMS in 2023.  Katie still spends time teaching kids how to swim, lifeguarding on the weekends, and supervising skiing trips in the winter. She has a young whippet-lab mix named Hazel who loves to run and hike around trails and bodies of water. Bodies of water are also where you can find Katie most days in the summer enjoying kayaking, paddle boarding, wakeboarding, fishing, or just soaking up the sun on a boat.
