Milwaukee Montessori School
Connor Kubiak '13

“MMS provided a really positive and supportive context for the foundational parts of my childhood. It instilled a sense of ownership and responsibility for my work and life that I am very grateful for.”

Connor Kubiak graduated from Waukesha West High School (’17) followed by UW-Madison where he earned a BS in Computer Science in 2021. Throughout his collegiate career, Connor had many jobs, most notably a 2 year IT internship with the USDA. While in college, Connor acted as founding member and leader of the Salt Company, a Christian college ministry on UW-Madison’s campus.

In 2021, Connor graduated from UW-Madison, becoming a Network Engineer for Hoyos Consulting/Four Lakes Broadband. Connor married in January 2021, and moved to Ann Arbor! Jacob Thomae (’13), one of Connor’s best friends from MMS, stood up at Connor’s wedding!

When asked what his favorite MMS memories are, Connor gave a long list, including Math Jeopardy with Mr. Swanson, Traveling to New York City for the 2017 Montessori Model UN, Nature’s Classroom, copious amounts of book recommendations from Mr. Riggs, and being “terrible at basketball” but still having lots of fun playing on the team. Connor also appreciates his time running on the MMS track team. Thanks to Coach Mohr, Connor continued running in high school and became captain of both the track and cross country teams. In his free time, Connor plays football, facilitates a new Michigan church plant in the Salt Network, explores Ann Arbor with Sarah, and dabbles in sound engineering.
