Hannah Davis '14

Hannah Davis graduated from Milwaukee Montessori School in 2014 and continued on to Pius XI High School where she graduated in 2018. In 2022, Hannah earned her BFA in New Studio Practices with a minor in Digital Media Production at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. It is no surprise to us that on top of her studies, Hannah has maintained a spot on the honor roll for every semester of her collegiate career! During the summer of 2021, Hannah completed a unique internship led by her MIAD advisor Brad Bernard. Hannah, along with a select team of interns, MIAD instructors, and community volunteers, created three different murals throughout the Milwaukee area. Hannah explained that she used primed wooden boards and projection mapping to enlarge and transfer the illustrations into the large-scale mural pieces. The whole project lasted from June 22nd, 2021 to August 18th, 2021.

According to Hannah, the positive environment at Milwaukee Montessori School and the engagement between teachers and students cultivated her love for art. Hannah recalls that she felt seen and heard throughout her time at MMS and believes that the personalized approach to education as well as the freedom for students to explore and experiment got her “engaged and eager to learn”.
