Cece Sullivan has been a Montessori teacher for many years and taught at a number of different Montessori schools in the Milwaukee area. Cece happily joined the staff at Milwaukee Montessori School in 2009. One of the reasons Cece enjoys working at MMS is the feeling of community and working closely with parents, students, and staff which continues to bring new experiences every day. Cece also worked at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center for 16 years as the Program Registrar and Building Rental Coordinator. During that time, she was instrumental in helping to develop the live raptor program, helping to establish the nature preschool at the Center, and implementing a speakers’ bureau for outreach programs. In addition, Cece has worked at a quilt store, designing and stitching quilt tops, and teaching quilting classes.

Ms. Sullivan received her Montessori training at the Midwest Montessori Institute in Milwaukee. During that time, her children were attending MacDowell Montessori School. Cece received her bachelor’s degree from Ashford University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Cece is an active member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and has served as a deacon, usher, Girl Scout troop leader, Sunday school teacher, and member of the special events committee. When she has the opportunity, Cece enjoys designing and making quilts, working in her gardens (flowers and vegetables), cooking and reading. She lives in South Milwaukee, has two daughters, two grandchildren, a great-grandson, and a Sheltie, Peanut.
