A 4th generation musician of Latvian heritage, violinist Ernest Brusubardis IV has lived in the greater Milwaukee area his whole life, and has spent much of it freelancing in various bands and orchestras, and teaching throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Ernest holds a B.F.A. and a Masters in Music (String Emphasis) from UW-Milwaukee, while studying under Dr. Bernard Zinck. Ernest loves playing in small groups, whether it is a string quartet with his siblings, or a 5-piece bluegrass band. Ernest has collaborated with the Riso Quartet, the Milwaukee Latvian String Quartet, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and was Concertmaster of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra for their 99th and 100th seasons. When not touring the country, Ernest instructs at various schools and out of his home on Milwaukee’s East Side.
