Heather Eiden, has been teaching at MMS since 2000. As a current CH Playgroup Teacher, she loves working with toddlers whose work is spontaneous and honest, and she feels it is important not to underestimate what they can learn. Her artistic side remains an integral part of her life. A native of Milwaukee’s east side, Heather grew up immersed in the art community. She started working with ceramics when she was 16-years-old and began teaching art at Saint Peter and Paul Daycare Center when she was just eighteen-years-old. Heather went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in 1997, a Master’s of Science in Art Education in 2014, NAMC Certified Infant/Toddler teacher, and Montessori certification for 0-2-year-olds. Heather has created a series of tiny clay sculptures inspired by her travel in India, Spain, and Mexico and also made a book documenting the projects her students have done over the last decade. Outside of school, Heather practices and teaches yoga.
