Kyla Davenport

Ms. Kyla is an enthusiastic and nurturing educator who has been working with children since 2014, in roles ranging from babysitting to nannying and preschool teaching. Currently, she is pursuing degrees in Early Childhood Education and Art Education.

Ms. Kyla delights in her students’ excitement and takes the time to listen to their stories—from breakfast choices to weekend adventures—creating a space where each child feels valued and heard. She centers her teaching on respect for individual growth, emphasizing the “why” behind routines and habits. By teaching children the purpose of daily practices, from handwashing to outdoor play, she helps them build habits that support health, a connection to nature, and lifelong learning.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Kyla is an artist creating fantasy oil paintings and watercolors, and a writer working on a sci-fi mystery novel. She enjoys staying active with regular hikes and begins and ends each day with yoga.
