Bhawna Setia

Bhawna was born and raised in Chandigarh, India. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in 2012. She then served as a professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication at M.M. University in Haryana, India, for three years. During this time, she published research papers in IEEE and other journals, collaborating with fellow researchers on the application of digital signals and applied mathematics.

In 2016, Bhawna moved to the United States and began working with the YMCA as a School Age Group Leader for the Hamilton School District.

Since joining Milwaukee Montessori School in 2023, Bhawna has led and coached students to win 17 Noetic Math awards. In 2024 alone, three students earned National Honor Roll recognition, and every competing grade from 3rd through 8th secured an Honorable Mention as a team.
